The primary focus of the meeting was to assess the effective implementation of the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, a pivotal national health insurance initiative aimed at providing affordable and accessible healthcare to millions of Indian citizens. In scrutinizing the progress of the scheme’s implementation, the state government aims to ensure that the benefits reach the intended beneficiaries, ultimately contributing to an improved healthcare landscape in Uttar Pradesh.

Furthermore, the meeting addressed the status of ongoing medical college construction projects across the state. Enhancing the healthcare infrastructure through the establishment of new medical colleges is a strategic move by the government to bolster the capacity of the healthcare system, facilitate medical education, and bridge the gap in medical services within various districts.

With an increasing concern over the recent rise in dengue cases, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed attention toward formulating comprehensive strategies for the prevention and containment of the disease. The emphasis was placed on the urgent need to deploy effective measures such as fogging and larvicidal spraying to control the mosquito population, thereby curbing the spread of dengue.

Expressing concern over the surge in dengue cases, especially in areas such as Moradabad, Kanpur Nagar, Lucknow, and Gautam Buddha Nagar, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stressed the importance of proactively preventing the formation of dengue hotspots in any region. He directed authorities to ensure the availability of additional hospital beds as needed, emphasizing that no infected patient, whether in urban or rural areas, should face a lack of access to adequate treatment.

In his efforts to tackle the dengue outbreak, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized the significance of deploying effective measures for mosquito control. He specifically highlighted the importance of employing fogging and larvicidal spraying techniques to manage mosquito populations and curb the spread of the disease.

To ensure the success of these measures, the Chief Minister called upon the Urban Development, Rural Development, and Panchayati Raj Departments to actively engage in fogging and larvicidal spraying activities. Furthermore, he stressed the necessity of maintaining consistent sanitization efforts in the mornings and implementing regular fogging exercises in the evenings. By emphasizing these practical steps, the Chief Minister aims to curb the dengue outbreak and protect the public health of Uttar Pradesh residents.

During the meeting, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath underscored the importance of efficiently implementing healthcare schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and the Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana. He directed officials to ensure that every eligible family receives an Ayushman card, facilitating access to the benefits of these schemes.

Regarding the development of medical infrastructure, the Chief Minister highlighted the state government’s adoption of the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode for establishing medical colleges in underserved districts. He noted that work had commenced in Shamli, Mau, Maharajganj, and Sambhal. Additionally, he informed that approvals had been secured from the Government of India under Viability Gap Funding for the setup of medical colleges in districts such as Baghpat, Mainpuri, Kasganj, Mahoba, Hamirpur, and Hathras. He stressed the need to expedite the initiation of work in all these areas.

Furthermore, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized the importance of filling crucial positions in the healthcare sector. He urged the proper deployment of 293 selected teachers and over 1950 staff nurses in various medical colleges. He also emphasized the expeditious appointment of qualified doctors to vacant positions of Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor in government medical colleges to ensure the efficient functioning of the healthcare system in Uttar Pradesh.
