‘No Mask, No Fuel’ Policy To Be Followed At Petrol Pumps From Today

Coronavirus has become an impediment to all economic activities. Silence looms large on roads, offices, industries, schools, colleges. Future is uncertain. The initial 21 days lockdown was extended to 3rd May.

However, in order to prevent the economy from doom and keep it stable, the government has given certain relaxation. These 5 sectors will get relaxation :

  • Agriculture and farming
  • Real estate sector and construction activities
  • Retail, grocery, ration shops
  • Industries manufacturing essential goods
  • Data, IT cells and call centres working for the government

In such a situation, the movement of vehicles on the roads will also increase. Also, the spread of coronavirus is continuously increasing. Given the ever-increasing transition of the Covid-19, you will not find petrol without a mask at the petrol pump. At the same time, President of Petroleum Dealers Association Ajay Bansal said that this decision has been taken keeping in mind the safety of the staff working at the petrol pump. It is applicable nationwide. Petrol pumps have also been included as essential services during lockdown. 

The strategy of ‘No mask, No Fuel’ is being adopted keeping in view the safety of the staff and common people working at petrol pumps. That is, you are going to get petrol or diesel filled, it is mandatory for you to wear a mask. As it is, in many states, it is mandatory for people to cover their mouths with masks or any clothes when exiting. The All India Petroleum Dealers Association has unanimously decided that if a customer comes for fuel at the petrol pump without putting on a mask, then they will not be given fuel.

Petroleum dealers in the capital Delhi are following the ‘No Mask, No Fuel’ rule made by the All India Petroleum Dealers Association. The same is being done at the Indian Oil Petrol Pump located at Mayur Vihar Phase-1, New Delhi. This rule has been implemented till the end of the Covid-19 epidemic.
