Ashneer Grover Hits Out at BharatPe CEO and Chairman, Says ‘Ab Nani Yaad Aayegi, Business news
Ashneer Grover, the founder and former managing director of BharatPe, hit back at Rajnish Kumar, chairman and Suhail Sameer chief executive officer (CEO) of the fintech company on Thursday, almost a month after his exit from the board.
The embattled founder took social media to comment on the first quarter results of BharatPe under the current leadership. “So I just heard @bharatpeindia closed it’s first quarter of ‘degrowth’ and ‘maximum cash burn’ under able (sic) leadership of Rajnish Kumar and Suhail Sameer,” he wrote in a social media post.

As Sri Lanka reels under a severe economic crisis that triggered a political upheaval, India on Thursday said it stands ready to continue assisting the island nation to recover from the difficulties in line with its ‘Neighbourhood First’ policy,business news.
External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said India has been keenly following the evolving economic situation and other developments in Sri Lanka. He said India has extended assistance of about USD 2.5 billion in the past three months to Sri Lanka and it includes credit facilities for fuel and food. “Since mid-March, over 270,000 metric tonnes of diesel and petrol have been delivered to Sri Lanka.
In addition, around 40,000 tonnes of rice have been supplied under the recently extended USD 1 billion credit facility,” Bagchi said at a media briefing. Sri Lanka witnessed massive street protests in the last few days view of the economic crisis and the public anger led almost all the cabinet ministers to quit the government.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has praised the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) after an International Monetary Fund (IMF) working paper credited the free foodgrain programme for only a 10 basis points rise in extreme poverty in 2020 to 0.86 percent despite COVID.
Sharing the IMF paper on Twitter, the minister said, “The working paper notes that the social safety net given to the poor by way of expansion of the country’s food subsidy program absorbed a major chunk of the pandemic shock.”

The petrol and diesel prices have continued to hike in capital city Bhubaneswar on Wednesday. Today, the petrol price has been recorded at Rs 112.36 per litre while the diesel rate is recorded at Rs 102.11 per litre. While on Tuesday, the price of petrol was recorded at Rs 111.54 per litre and the diesel price was recorded at Rs 101.29 per litre.
The petrol and diesel rate have risen by 80 paisa and 82 paisa respectively in the last 24 hours. The petrol and diesel price have increased by Rs 10 in just 16 days.
The petrol and diesel rates in Cuttack have also increased and are recorded at Rs 112.85 and Rs 102.58 respectively.
