Sterlite Power, a leading power transmission company in India, has reported a significant 30% increase in its net profit, touching Rs 322 crore in the financial year 2022-23.

On Tuesday, Sterlite Power announced a more than 30% increase in its standalone net profit for 2022–23, to Rs 322.01 crore, mostly due to higher sales.

According to a business release, the company’s standalone net profit for the last fiscal year that ended in March 2022 was Rs 246.57 crore.Its operational income increased from Rs 3,797.38 crore to Rs 3,923.51 crore in the year 2022–23.

“The results demonstrate our continuous focus on securing new opportunities and operational efficiencies and underscores our commitment to be a key player in developing the nation’s energy landscape,” said Pratik Agarwal, managing director of Sterlite Power.The 14th National Committee on Transmission (NCT) recently authorised electricity transmission projects at a record Rs 75,408 crore, and he noted that these projects are expected to be granted this year via competitive bidding.

Sterlite Power has significantly invested in developing new transmission lines and modernizing existing ones. These infrastructure improvements have increased the efficiency of power distribution, contributing directly to the rise in net profit.

The company has embraced cutting-edge technologies like drone surveillance, AI-driven analytics, and predictive maintenance systems. These investments have decreased operational costs and improved the reliability of transmission services.
