Union Home Minister Amit Shah virtually launched several development projects totaling Rs 154 crore in Ahmedabad
Union Home Minister Amit Shah virtually launched several development projects totalling Rs 154 crore in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, his home state. Mr. Shah also spoke at an event co-hosted by the following.
- Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC).
- Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA).
One of the projects he launched at the ceremony was a new flyover in Sanathal, Ahmedabad. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, and officials and office-bearers from the AMC and the AUDA, attended the ceremony.
While addressing the event, Mr. Shah stated that this is a special day since it is the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. On the foundation of Swaraj, Swadharma, and Swabhasha, he provided a new meaning of self-respect in the country. Shah addressed this by saying that at 15, Shivaji Maharaj had constructed a Hindu empire with tenacity in the face of the Mughal emperors. It is also the death anniversary of Savitribai Phule, who worked for a strong focus on the education of women education to empower women. Both Mahatma Jyotiba and Savitribai Phule pushed for multiple women’s causes.
The following projects were inaugurated by Mr. Shah.
He stated that diverse development projects totaling 154 crores were launched, the largest of which was the opening of a new overbridge at Sanathal Junction on the Sardar Patel Ring Road, which cost roughly 100 crores. The necessity for this overbridge has grown as a result of significant industrial growth at Sanand GIDC and the surrounding area, and its expansion into Ahmedabad’s rural areas. Mr. Shah stated that there were issues at Sanathal owing to traffic heading towards Saurashtra and the Bhavnagar bypass, which also runs through the same crossroads. Also, the city’s traffic is massive. As a result, the Sanathal flyover will address such concerns.
Flyovers serve a critical role in simplifying the traffic management system. Avoiding congestion saves time through the flyovers. Pollution is diminished, while flyovers lower the chance of accidents. Furthermore, these add enormously to the beauty of the city.
According to Mr. Shah, an important drainage project in Shela village has been finished. This would greatly assist the residents of Shela in terms of cleanliness and health. Apart from that, 468 households have received homes in Bavla Nagar as part of the Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana.
Shah stated that the Gujarat double-engine government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has vowed that no one in the state shall be homeless.
Smart schools have also been opened in Chandkheda, Sabarmati, Shela, Thaltej, and Sarkhej as part of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation.
He stated that PM Modi has included the concept of smart schools in the new education strategy, intending to provide a platform for children’s skills at the elementary level so that their overall development may be secured. ‘ Smart schools are more than just an idea; they are a means of making a difference in the lives of children. There will undoubtedly be a qualitative shift in children’s education as a result of these institutions.
Smart schools are those that employ cutting-edge technology to improve student’s educational experiences. They create a more dynamic and interesting learning environment, which helps students remember the material and develop crucial 21st-century skills like critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving.
Other development projects launched include a Senior Citizen Park between Chandkheda and Nawadaj for Rs. 62 lacks, a pedestrian tunnel near the Ahmedabad-Viramgam broad gauge railway for Rs. 4.39 crore, and 5 Anganwadis for Rs. 40 lacks. Many people benefit from the neighborhood parks. They attract potential residents, give a safe place for children to play, and provide green space that many metropolitan areas lack. To be honest, the advantages of parks, playgrounds, and green areas extend beyond those three categories.
One significant benefit of green space is what it does for the elderly. Parks and green places can also assist elders to enhance their self-esteem and mental health. Parks are surrounded by a community, which means there are opportunities to engage and create relationships. Relationship building and interpersonal connection will gradually improve the mental health and stability of individuals who are not frequently exposed to others.
The last line.
These new projects are supposed to solve the common man‘s problems like traffic and drainage systems. Let’s hope to get such new projects in the upcoming months of the year.
