Ministry of Home Affairs issued guidelines
After the lockdown extended till 3 May, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has issued several guidelines related to banks and ATMs. It has asked to continue essential services related to the financial sector. In its new guideline, the Ministry has said that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), banks, ATMs, capital and debt markets, insurance companies will continue to do their work as before. Lockdown Part 2 will not affect these.
What will remain open during lockdown?
- Reserve Bank of India (RBI), RBI Regulated Financial Market, such as NPCI, CCIL, payment system operators and standalone primary dealers.
- Bank branches and ATMs, IT vendors for banking operations. Banking correspondents, ATM operations and cash management agencies.
- The bank branches will operate as per normal working hours.
- SEBI and Capital and Debt Market Services.
- IRDAI and insurance companies.
According to the guidelines released today due to increase the lockdown in the country, swimming pools, theaters, bars, gyms, shopping malls, cinema halls, etc. will remain closed till May 3. All educational and training institutions will also remain in place till 3 May. Apart from this, taxi services and cab services are also not allowed to operate until 3 May.
Banks, spares parts, motor mechanics, woodworkers, plumber, IT repair, electricians are allowed to work with insurance companies. Under the instructions issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, social, political and religious events have been allowed with the permission of DM. Apart from this, under the MNREGA, permission has been given to work with all the precautions and rules. The ministry allowed fisheries-related activities and the opening of mandis operated by APMC. Apart from this, the movement of essential commodities and services is also allowed.
The already opened petrol pumps will remain operational even further. Print, electronic media, DTH and cable services will also continue. driving of trucks is allowed with certain conditions. Permission has also been granted to start all agriculture-related works.
After April 20, those who are allowed to work will have to take full precaution and work has to be done by following the rules of lockdown. Spitting in public places will attract a fine. With domestic and international flights, all types of transport will be stopped till 3 May.
These guidelines have been issued to all Ministries / Departments, Government of India, State / Union Territory Governments. The Ministry of Home Affairs has instructed the industries which have been allowed to work after April 20, to stay and eat in a building within or close to the office, following the physical distance rules for the employees working here.
The number of coronavirus cases is increasing continuously in the country. According to the latest data released by the Union Health Ministry at 8 am on Wednesday (April 15), a total of 11,439 cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported in India so far. Speaking of the last 24 hours there have been 38 deaths due to Coronavirus in the country, while 1076 new cases have been reported during this period. According to the new guideline released by MHA today, many areas have been allowed to operate conditionally from April 20.So far, a total of 377 people have died due to the Coronavirus. A total of 1,305 people in India have recovered so far. 9,756 people are still under treatment.
