KidzByte MediaTech Pvt Ltd, which is a Mumbai based new aggregator for the children has now secured around Rs 2 crore in the seed funding round from the entrepreneur Pranay Goyal.
The investor Pranay Goyal is the Managing Director of The Goyal Group and Group companies Web Development, Dive – Bar, Eatery as well as a Prysmato Operational Intelligence.
KidzByte was founded by the marketing and communication professionals Chetan D’ Souza and Swagat Salunke in 2018. According to the report which has been revealed, KidzByte aims to empower children, teens, parents, and educators by providing the unbiased and trustworthy information, innovative tools and independent voices to harness the power of both the technology and media.
It is a huge challenge for the news business to appeal to younger audiences, the report revealed.
“Kids would love to know what’s happening around the world, but adult news channels and sites can sometimes be intimidating, overwhelming or even boring for children,” said D’Souza.
The company has also claimed that KidzByte app, which is available on the Google Play Store, has already seen more than 20000 downloads.
“KidzByte app provides curated and bite-sized news and content to help children become well-informed and responsible citizens of tomorrow, and develop the habit of reading and improve language skills,” D’Souza added.
