Venues of IPL 2022 :
IPL 2022 will be held in four venues in Mumbai and Pune. IPL 2022 Venues are Wankhede Stadium, DY Patil Stadium, Brabourne Stadium (all three in Mumbai), and MCA International Stadium in Pune.
When will IPL 2022 start?
IPL 2022 will begin from 26th March 2022 and will last till 29th May 2022. 10 teams will be competing against each other in a total of 70 leagues matches and 4 playoffs games in the 65 days.
IPL 2022 Format:
Since the IPL 2022 has 10 teams, changes in the IPL format certainly can be seen. This year all the teams have been divided into 2 groups of 5 each based on the number of titles won by each team.
Each team will compete with the teams in their group twice. Each team will also compete with the opposite group. With one team of the opposite group, it will play twice and while with other 4 teams only once. Therefore, each team will play a total of 14 matches. (7 away and 7 home matches)
For example, MI will play with all the teams in their group twice. MI will play with CSK (opposite team) also twice. While with the other 4 teams of the opposite group (SRH, RCB, PBKS, & GT), MI will play only once.
