In the current damage caused by the coronavirus, the trade volume of several IT companies has increased and the trade channels are healthier than before. Despite the epidemic, contract base recruitment may increase as companies try to lessen long-term cost commitments.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India’s most comprehensive software exporter, ranked first in the hiring process as compared to several IT companies that have started the recruitment process.

TCS will hire approximately 40,100 new executives and will continue to hire freshers and resume lateral employment. CP Gurnani, CEO of Tech Mahindra, said that although deal closures are taking longer, the agreement pipeline is the most powerful and strongest I’ve seen in three years.

In addition to these big-name companies, several mid-sized IT companies have postponed their entry dates for freshers this year. As work from home (WFH) has become a new normal standard, many well-known and famous companies are recruiting candidates remotely.

Besides this, Several Companies are offering Work from Home until 2021 or forever

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced entire employee populations to work from home. And as workers settle into that rhythm, it is uncertain how many will actually need to report to the office five days a week after a coronavirus vaccine is found.

With no vaccination being close enough to handle deadly virus COVID-19, several corporations across the world are opting for work from home from workers. With the rise in the number of coronavirus cases and mortality rates, few employees will not return to the office until at least 2021, and others may never see their office or return back again.

According to business reports, Twitter made headlines in mid of May, when they declared that some of their employees will permanently work from home. Following which week’s back, Google proclaimed that its employees will work at home until 2021.

Sundar Pichai, Google CEO, said in a memo to employees that I hope this will give you the flexibility you need to balance work and take care of yourself and your loved ones more than the next 11-12 months.

Globally, when education, childcare, and safety issues continue to grow, the work from the home crisis has come into play at that time.

Indian Multinational Companies also announced that 40%-50% of its employees will work permanently from home

Even as companies are struggling to align their business operations with the new normal after the pandemic, many companies have made remote work a permanent part of their daily business, and the list now includes KPIT Technologies and Tech Mahindra companies.

KPIT Technologies in Pune announced that half of its employees will work permanently from home. Until now, about 2.2% of its staff have been working from home.

Sachin Tikekar, president of KPIT, stated that currently, only 2.2% of our employees are doing work from home. Assuming the situation will improve, KPIT is planning to bring up to 20% of employees back to work starting from January 2021.

For long-term policies, the company may reform its agenda. However, until the end of this year, the government has been encouraging ITeS and other companies to insist on using home-based business models for their work.

Manoj Bhat, CFO of Tech Mahindra, told that even if the lockdown is lifted, at least 30% of the company’s employees will permanently work from home. He stated that this will mean changes in our facilities, changes in policies, and the creation of new models for attracting talent- where all these changes will appear. Moreover, Tech Mahindra plans to reach that number in the next four quarters. may be in April or June next year, Bhat said.

Why hire only one-third of the workforce?
Bhat explained that we analyzed what types of workflows involved and which areas are more suitable for long-term work without any potential risks. Bhat also explained how Tech Mahindra reached the percentage of 30% of its workforce permanently working from home. He appended that this will also be a mix of work from home and coming into the office for employees. We have also noticed that continuing work from home, there is a factor that is getting distant and disconnection.

Earlier, several business giants including Twitter announced that all its employees will work from home permanently since they managed to achieve better results. However, various Indian IT companies are reluctant to do so. They enforce the fact that although a certain percentage of the workforce will permanently work from home, they still need employees in the office to excel.

The government has already enlarged the connectivity norms so that BPO and IT company employees can continue working from home till the end of the year.
