Foodpanda Expands to 50 Cities, Aims to Reach 100 by Next Month

Ola-owned food delivery startup, FoodPanda India has now expanded its delivery network to 50 cities in India. The cities which have been added include Kota, Udaipur, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Allahabad, Surat, Varanasi, Bhopal, Jalandhar, Aurangabad, Varanasi, and Jodhpur, among others.
They are also planning to expand to 100 cities by the end of November this year. “We continue to expand and aim at being present in at least 100 cities by focusing on building the largest and the most-preferred food experience platform,” the release quoted CEO of Foodpanda India Pranay Jivrajka.
The food delivery startup has geared up its expansion efforts to compete with the giants in the Indian food delivery sector – Swiggy and Zomato. Both Swiggy and Zomato are already ahead in the market.
Before this, Foodpanda has also acquired the food tech startup Holachef in order to enter the cloud kitchen business. The company is reportedly planning to launch its own food products and the acquisition of Holachef is expected to facilitate the process.
