China Attempting To Breach Barrier Between Taiwan And China, As The Former Moves Ahead With Engaging With Rest Of The World.

According to Taiwan’s defense ministry, ten Chinese aircraft violated the Taiwan Strait median line, which serves as an informal border between the mainland and the island. Using conventional language for its response, the ministry stated that Taiwan dispatched planes to warn of the Chinese aircraft as missile systems monitored them.

The democratically-run island of Taiwan, which China claims as its territory, has protested in recent years about nearly daily sorties by the Chinese air force near it, frequently in the southwestern portion of its air defense identification zone. According to the ministry’s daily report on Chinese military activity, nine Chinese fighter planes and one military drone crossed the median line in the 24 hours leading up to 6 am on Saturday.
