The Sedibus Signs Pact with VRSEC To Establish Technology Business Incubator

The startups/ideas incubated at the Technology Business Incubator (TBI) at different stages will help the students to launch their innovative ideas/business during the incubation time frames through viable business plan and mentoring.

With a mission to handhold innovation emanating from the campus, Malaxmi Group’s startup platform The Sedibus has signed MoU with Velagapudi Ramakrishna Sidhhartha Engineering College (VRSEC) to establish their Technology Business Incubator (TBI). The TBI will be established in the premises of the campus to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship and nurture disruptive ideas coming from the students. The pact was signed and exchanged between Deepa Balasubramanian, CEO, The Sedibus and Dr A V Ratna Prasad, Principal, VRSEC in the presence of Head of the Department, IT Dr M Suneetha, Dean of Student Affairs Dr B Pandu Ranga Rao and students.
The Sedibus and VRSEC will be in the forefront of the Startup India and other such similar initiatives. The startups/ideas incubated at the TBI at different stages will help the students to launch their innovative ideas/business during the incubation time frames through viable business plan and mentoring. Further, these ideas will be given hand holding from industry leaders to become early stage startups.
Under this TBI, students of VRSEC are trained to incubate their ideas, enabling innovation, job creation and economic development. The incubtor will provide sustainable platform for commercialization of technologies developed by the students of VRSEC or the R&D department comprising of future entrepreneurs.
“The Sedibus technology business incubator in VRSEC will work closely with the students who have promising ideas into technological innovations like AI, ML, robotics, drone technology, and any such disruptions in other streams capable of becoming futuristic business models. We will bring mentors and startups from the industry to the campus who will interact with the students and help them turn their ideas into possible early stage enterprises. This kind of initiative will help young minds to gain quick access to support and mentoring right within their college,” said Deepa Balasubramanian, Chief Executive Officer, The Sedibus.
“The goal of the institution is to develop industry ready professionals and entrepreneurs with required knowledge & skills who are competent to face global challenges by providing technologically innovative solutions.  In this direction, the initiative between The Sedibus & VRSEC will go a long way in bridging the gap between industry and institution, by imparting the necessary skills to make the students into upcoming entrepreneurs,” said Dr. A. V. Ratna Prasad, Principal, V R Siddhartha Engineering College.
The technology business incubator will be ready in December in the campus premises and will kick start with launch activities in the form of interaction with the startups and mentors in the deep tech sphere and phase wise execution of business plans.
