Living In Delhi Is Our Past Sin Or We Electing The Wrong Leaders To Make Our Lives Miserable

Indian economy is like a blooming bud ready to kick start the growth engines of the world. The world is looking for India to market their products and services for their companies. India is the dominant player and is becoming the manufacturing source for the global companies having the best-skilled labour and most of the population are youth.  With the connected ports, airports, express highways and better infrastructure facilities the world is looking at India to invest. India’s economy is one of the least affected countries in the world and it also holds the shocks from the pandemic, Russia Ukraine war and the Israel Middle East crises.

India is the 5th largest economy in the world. The Indian economic growth is very high compared to global big economies with 7.8% year-on-year growth. Indian balance of payments is good and we are exporting more goods and services than we import and our forex reserves reached $ 654 Billion. India produces 1.5 million engineers per year and more than 50,000 doctors every year. India has strong human resources and Indians are the key players by working in every part of the world.

India is a strong diplomatic player in the world. When India cancels Article 370 no country dares to raise its voice against India but Malaysia raises its voice against India. India is the world’s largest edible oil consumer and importer. The Malaysian economy is mostly dependent on the exports of palm oil and we are their major importers from them. India has put sanctions on Malaysia’s palm oil and there are a lot of protests against the government from farmers in their country even though it is one of the factors that changed Malaysia’s government. The new government has withdrawn their words. Now Malaysia and India have a strong bond with each other.  India is the only country in the world that buys Russian crude oil and sells it again to Europe with refined petroleum products without any objections or economic sanctions from the G7 and European Union. India succeeded in cutting the ties between the USA and Pakistan. India took the opportunity of global Agri commodity crises and built a strong relationship by supplying wheat to the Middle East and African countries. India supplies COVID-19 vaccines for free to the neighbourhood and friendly countries. India announces and makes the African Union a permanent member of G20. Indian anti-government Maldives announced to draw Indian troupes from their country and India promoted Lakshadweep islands and choked their revenue from tourism. India is the dominant player in global political relations.

Delhi’s air pollution is increasingly going towards a hazardous situation. Delhi is the world’s most polluted capital and the city continuously faces a high rise in air pollution, where air quality is going downwards every time. The current Delhi pollution level crossed from 300 to 400 AQI in just one week.  The pollution stems from various sources, specifically six major categories including industries, waste disposal, transport dust, domestic cooking, waste burning, and diesel generator sets. The Delhi Government announced a health emergency in various areas of Delhi leading to the closure of educational institutions some times. The dense air smog formed by polluted air has posed challenges for aircraft landings at Delhi Airports. Additionally, the Delhi government has implemented a mandatory requirement for all citizens to wear masks or use cloth face coverings while outdoors keeping Delhi’s pollution level in mind. It is highly advised by both local citizens and residents of Delhi to remain indoors as a result of the alarming air pollution levels in Delhi. In response, numerous individuals are opting to relocate outside of Delhi in search of cleaner and more breathable air. The majority of areas in Delhi have now surpassed the threshold of hazardous air quality, posing a significant and urgent concern for both the city and the Indian government Delhi’s pollution levels are causing significant environmental harm and posing health risks to the local citizens, leading to a gradual reduction in their life expectancy daily.

The water crisis in Delhi has impacted many families’ day-to-day lives and they are chasing their lives by standing in queues for hours to get a bucket of water. The main reason for the water crisis is that Delhi is dependent on the neighbouring states of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. The over extraction of groundwater, Pollution of water sources impact of climate change, and Inefficient water management.

The floods in Delhi at the time of the G20 summit had created a very bad image of India. The flood water submerged several areas in Delhi like Yamuna Bazar, Usmanpur, Jagatpur, Wazirabad, Madanpur Khadar, Kalindi Kunj, Okhla and Nigam Bodh Ghat.

Delhi traffic is too high and it takes a lot of time to travel and we feel uncomfortable while travelling and see a lot of traffic jams and honking noises.

Delhi has a Poor drainage system and if it receives heavy rains the drainages can’t suck the excess rainwater and due to that problem, some of the areas in Delhi are submerged.

Conclusion

The India has strength to make Delhi as best place to live and turn it into a beautiful city but there is no coordination between central and state governments to make the effort to turn it into reality. If there is any problem arises the central and state governments through mud on each other and fail to provide a permanent solution to the problem. The central government influences autonomous bodies to take action against opposition or anti-state government political leaders. There is no coordination between state and central governments to develop the city. Instead of developing the country and capital, they are focus is shifting to political hunger games. If the state and central government coordinate each other and work on one line. The capital and India can see more miracles. The ruling government should end the ego and power-hunger politics by shifting their focus to development. The water and air are free and pure but it is polluted. The air in Delhi is unsafe we can’t walk, run, cycling and any activity outdoor. The government is encouraging air purifier sellers for homes to manufacture more but the government is not taking any measures to control pollution at least year by year. We want the government to make Delhi the best place to live.
