Tata Trust and Tata Group have announced to spend Rs 1,500 crore in dealing with Coronavirus. This will be the biggest support of any corporate in the country on Corona so far. Tata Trust will spend 500 crores rupees. Trust chairman Ratan Tata gave this information by tweeting at 4.18 pm on Friday evening. About two and a half hours later, at 6.48 pm, Tata Sons announced an additional Rs 1,000 crore support. Tata Sons, the Tata group, is the promoter and holding company of all Tata firms. The Tata Group works in philanthropy through the Tata Trusts. Tata Trusts hold 66% stake in Tata Sons.
