Supply Chain Startup FourKites Begins Operations in India, Plans to Double Its Headcount By 2018
The Chennai office will be used in the creation of innovation labs for one of a kind products, and further build upon its existing strengths in the core areas of engineering and operations.
FourKites, a visibility solutions provider to many of the largest Fortune 500 groups in the US, has announced its expansion plans, as the technology startup is all set to acquire new clients through the commencement of its operations in the Indian territory. With the launch of the new office with the state-of-the-art facility at a Leeds Platinum certified SEZ in Chennai at DLF IT Park foresees doubling its Indian headcount by the end of the current fiscal.
The Chennai office will be used in the creation of innovation labs for one of a kind products, and further build upon its existing strengths in the core areas of engineering and operations. The company has transitioned into the next level with its hiring plans on the technology front, coupled with its rapid spree of expanding its client base across the geography.
On the occasion of inaugurating it’s new office, Mathew Elenjickal – Founder and CEO of FourKites commented, “The opening of our new Indian centre gives us the flexibility to work closely with our existing customers and offer our products and services to a broader audience of Fortune 500 client signups that has occurred in the past two quarters. Rashi Jain, our new Vice President – Operations has joined us on board and we are focusing on leveraging more Indian business collaborations which are in the pipeline. This is a significant step in our strategy to expand our capability footprint, and broaden the market awareness for FourKites’ services throughout the world.”

FourKites India is a pioneer in actionable predictive intelligence in the logistics domain having built its operations team to leverage the India infrastructure, since establishing its first engineering centre in Chennai in 2015. FourKites has majorly diversified in launching core products including ETA tracking systems, temperature tracking, advanced analytics and offers SaaS based real time tracking across multiple modes of transport including rail, road, water and air. The company is also engaged in expanding its operations across multi-model channels and platforms by removing the barriers of supply chain complexities. Some of its clients include ABInBev, Schneider, Pfizer, Nestle, Walmart Canada, and Cargill among others.
In February 2018, the company had secured $35 million in Series B funding led by August Capital.
