Kompanero Aims To Cross The 100 Ebo Mark By 2025
‘KOMPANERO’ – a leather accessories brand with a distinctive weathered look, vintage appeal, and contemporary design inspired by the concept ‘Leather Being a Timeless Companion’.
Kolkata based leather fashion accessory brand Kompanero, which currently has 26 stores across India, plans to expand further in the coming year. The brand aims to cross the 100 EBOs mark in India by the end of 2025.
Kompanero will be opening a total of 15 stores this calendar year. As per store expansion plans, a store was opened at Chandigarh Airport in Dec 2018, Guwahati Airport and R city, Mumbai stores will be opening in January 2019 and Express Avenue, Chennai and Chennai Airport in February 2019!
Talking about their expansion, Indranath Sengupta expresses, “In 2019 will see an expansion of another 15 outlets adding to this chain! Online retail gives a major boost to the annual sales, and we have digital teams in place to cater to online shoppers. But we have recognized that creating a comfortable and positive in-store customer experience is an intangible asset for sales, brand awareness as well as to retain customer loyalty.”
Kompanero’s last campaign featured a collaboration with Bollywood Celebrity Fitness Guru Milind Soman and his wife Ankita Konwar. The surreal photo shoot captured the essence of timeless design and ageless appeal but with a touch of contemporary feel which makes it relevant to the current fashion trend.
At Kompanero you can find – ladies handbag, sling bag, travel bag, backpack bag, messenger bag, portfolio bag etc. Handcrafted Italian footwear along with leather jackets and belts are the latest additions to their range of leather accessories. The customer base for Kompanero are doctors, corporate directors, creative artists, designers and other accomplished professionals with a taste for vintage. Apart from this, the brand is focusing on tapping Millennials by introducing products like slim wallets to cater to the younger customers who are going minimalistic.
The brand simultaneously launched in India, Australia, and UK markets in the year 2014. The brand also has a presence in Europe, the US, Korea, Japan, Canada, New Zealand, UK. The brand is especially booming in Australia, with a presence in, more than 300 stores and products flying off the shelves faster than they can make. The tagline “Your Mates for Life” as they believe personal baggage is all about companionship and even Kompanero itself means companion in Spanish.
