Dineout Acquires Torqus, a Restaurant Focussed Cloud based Point of Sale (PoS) System

Launched as a POS service provider in 2013 by Tanmay Ratnaparkhe and Suneet Kulkarni, Torqus is now being used in more than 3500 outlets across 70+ cities in five countries.

Dineout, Indian Dining Out Platform, today announced the acquisition of Pune-based Torqus, a leading SaaS based restaurant management software provider, further strengthening its position as a full stack technology service provider in the online restaurant-booking space.
The acquisition of Torqus, will further enhance Dineout’s bouquet of services to the restaurant industry and along with inResto, a one-stop CRM platform for Recognising, Personalising and Re-engaging Diners, will provide an end-to-end tech solution for the Restaurant industry as a whole covering a wide range of use cases.

The platform consisting of Dineout, Dineout Pay, Gourmet Passport, Torqus and inResto will become the largest platform in India offering B2C and B2B services to the restaurant industry with a combined client base of nearly 10,000 restaurants across 70+ cities in India.
In all, this is Dineout’s third acquisition and second this year after Gourmet Passport. Dineout has first acquired Inresto in 2015. On the acquisition, Co- Founder and CEO of Torqus, Tanmay Ratnaparkhe said, “Torqus is already the most comprehensive SaaS  based restaurant management software platform in the industry. Torqus’ key products are around Point Of Sale (POS), Head Office and Supply Chain Management. POS software takes extensive care of all the functionalities of a restaurant outlet, ranging from steward management to dynamic menu while Head Office accumulates customer data, manages and tracks delivery stages, aggressive SMS marketing, as well as manoeuvre data from a single access point. Its Supply Chain Management enables efficient management of the restaurant chain inventory by strategically co-ordinating all the business function, ranging from procurement and manufacturing to sale estimation and invoicing.
