We all are well known for the burning Sushant Singh case happening in the country. A suicide case is not a thing to start your business upon or start showing stuff on national television to boost TRP and ratings.
Unfortunately, different news channels are trying to boost their TRP and ratings on the Sushant Singh Rajput case. The business has started on someone’s death. Money is the sole motive.
A glimpse of Sushant Singh Rajput’s Death mystery
On 14th June 2020, Sushant Singh Rajput was reported dead at his house in Bandra West, Mumbai, Maharastra. Sushant Singh Rajput was found in a condition that he committed suicide by hanging him with the fan till death. Many things got in light after the case. The Mumbai police declared it a suicide case but, Bihar police didn’t agree and wanted to investigate it from the Sushant’s family angle of murder. The Mumbai police and Bihar police dispute hold this to Supreme Court that handed the case to CBI.
CBI recreated the crime scene and started with the investigation at speed and started the inquiry session with all the witnesses and prime suspects like Rhea Chakravarty, Sidharth Pithani, and more. CBI started investigating the case from all the possible angles, whether the drugs angle, suicide angle, murder angle, underworld connection, and more. The investigation is still in process. CBI has started the inquiry rounds with Rhea Chakravorty and Soubhik Chakravorty.
The media on Sushant Singh Rajput’s case
From the beginning of the case, the media started its own different investigation rounds on national television. Many articles went viral, and other media houses conducted many sting operations in the Sushant Singh Rajput’s case. Many rounds of discussion and debates were organized with popular news channels. The whole day media just pointed out the Sushant Singh Rajput’s death mystery. Many prominent and reputed journalists took part in the death mystery business strategy.
Tweet floods and hashtags got trending, and all asked Justice for Sushant Singh Rajput. It is good to see that how the media played an important in the way Justice to Sushant.
But apart from this, few prominent news channels started with their business agendas. They began to extract voice recordings of Sushant Singh Rajput and Rhea Chakravorty. They managed to get the financial statements of Sushant Singh Rajput and even Rhea Chakravorty’s call details. They were not satisfied with all this, so they operated a sting operation on Sushant’s bodyguard, cook, fitness trainer, etc.
Many panel discussions were organized on popular news shows and Sushant’s psychiatrist, and friends were made a part of the show. Not only this prominent news channels started showing on how Rhea Chakravorty is leaving her home for CBI inquiry and going back with police security after CBI inquiry.
The question that sticks here is that the girl who is a prime suspect is not answering CBI’s question correctly, not accepting and revealing the truth, and facts will literally tell the whole story to the media person standing in front of her house? When this incident was broadcasted on the television, can’t the media companies was able to broadcast news about the floods or some other general issue going on in the country. They can just simply tell how she entered her house with the police security or at what time, with whom she left home. Does it make any sense to show the full footage? Yes, it made as the footage received huge TRP ratings.
The sold interview with Rhea Chakravorty:
A girl who is a prime suspect of the Sushant Singh Rajput’s case was invited for an interview round with a senior journalist on a very prominent and reputed news channel. Is this the treatment media gives to a suspect? From when this rule came that you can interview a suspect?
Did the journalist got paid from Rhea Chakravorty? Was it a TRP stunt? A planned game to have some huge number of views? Are all these questions revolving around your head? We, too, are trapped with these questions with no answers.
However, the interview conclusion was senseless that just gave an opportunity to memers to make good memes on the interview and troll the prime suspect Rhea Chakravorty.
The funniest part was that she was replying to straight and scripted questions and said Sushant came in my dream and asked me to tell everyone the truth. But where was the fact? The whole interview was senseless and under doubts and clouds of confusion. The journalist was so soft with her that he learned his script bu heart and was not carrying any paper. Therefore, an excellent planned and scripted interview was another business strategy linked to the Sushant Singh Rajput. After this interview, the internet was full of statements and campaigns against the new channels that included “Maine Aaj Tak itna ganda news channel nahi dekha.”

The whole country is suffering from floods and other post COVID problems, but that didn’t get that prominent level as compared to Rhea Chakravorty leaving her home to visit DRDO headquarters for another inquiry session with CBI.
The public is more interested in knowing why Sushant Singh Rajput died and many other questions. But that really doesn’t mean that the public is interested in senseless interviews with prime suspect Rhea Chakravorty and the full footage of she is leaving her home.
There were many other important news like the rising number of COVID-19 cases, the floods, and many more. But why Rhea Chakravorty’s leaving and coming back to her house was given so much importance?
All the journalist studies media ethics in their course, in which they are taught how they have to run behind prominent information, and about the ethics, a journalist must follow. But where is that course syllabus applying in practice? As a journalist, it a responsibility to serve essential and useful information that affects the interest of masses if the country. No business strategies and TRP boosting strategies come under the course of journalism. The TRP automatically increases if you have good content under the time-bound.
The media should think about its reputation and influential power.
The media should not start making its profits out of some sensitive cases. Of course, the public is sensitive about Sushant Singh Rajput death mystery, and trying to set up the business on it is simply inhumane.
The media should understand its responsibility and follow ethics. Diving and swimming are different! The media should go with the facts and not rumors. The broadcast media should improve more.
