Ambedkar University Delhi introduces 2 month training for working professionals to solve Social issues through entrepreneurship

Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) Centre for Incubation, Innovation and Entrepreneurship or ACIIE introduces a two-month capacity development program called Social Start-up Leadership Program or SSLP. The business-innovation initiative will begin on October 17, 2018. Running 12 hours a week till December 15, 2018, the course will conclude with consideration of candidates for a Capital investment of up to INR 10 Lakhs. Based on the training method of ‘Design Thinking’, the programme welcomes aspiring entrepreneurs to develop ideas and translate them into profit-making business ventures. Open to individuals of all age groups, the application for the same is available on ACIIE’s official website with the last date being September 30, 2018. The admission criteria for the program will be based on relevant engagement in the social sector followed by a personal interview.
 
During the two-month course mentors and industry veterans would train the candidates. The participants would identify, develop and prototype business models to solve social issues. The comprehensive boot camp would tackle Start-up related issues such as marketing, finance and team building.
 
While it is anticipated that such a course would serve the large and growing number of young people inclined to explore entrepreneurial careers in the social sector; furthermore, it shall also enhance personal and professional capacities of such entrepreneurs.
