There is another side to it and let’s face it, to lead is to encounter challenges constantly.

Inspiring Others

When one takes on the role of the leader, it is important to inspire others by motivating them. This is not an easy task, as one has to also look at the job satisfaction level of the team. A real breakthrough in the organisation comes only through inspiration. Inspired employees not only work better but also end up inspiring others around them.
The only learning I can give you here is to be yourself and lead by example. People are inspired by action and not mere words. When your team sees you motivated and lead with passion and conviction, they will follow.

Employee Growth

Unless you constantly invest in evolving your employees with effective onboarding and ongoing training, they will fail to reach their full potential. As a leader, it is pertinent that you take time off to help in their growth. By taking an active role in this, you are also ensuring a smoother transition in future.
This will give your team a sense of importance and value in the organization. While helping employees grow, it is also important to set goals for them that will boost productivity. Office politics or organizational politics is the use of power and social networking within an organization to achieve changes that benefit the organization or individuals within it.
There is often a negative connotation to it. As a leader, it is important to think before making comments and to be true to the work you do. One must skilfully manage one’s communication in such a way that there is no misunderstanding among the team.
Be sincere and influence well so that the team trusts you. All leaders have their unique strengths. One must identify that and ensure that you put your unique value to use while dealing with the team.

Delegating

Delegation involves the transfer of work to others. As leaders, many feel that it is always easier to complete work/tasks on your own, but they no longer have the time.
It is important to note that delegation not only improves efficiency, since the skill set of the person might be better suited for the task but also ensures the development of the team. By dividing the power and work equally within the team, it even reduces stress levels for you as a leader.
You can now concentrate on far more critical matters and it also helps your team to flourish. As a leader one needs to create a shared purpose for the team and also recognize that the way a millennial work is different. Their ways of communication and motivation factors are different and it is only through purpose and passion that one can be successful in delegating to them.

Trust is not something that can be bought, one needs to earn it. It takes time, but once your employees trust you, they will work to the best of their ability.
As a leader try and build relationships with your team and trust is sure to follow.
