Digital is the life, today as we are moving head to the fast pace life, where everything is becoming digital, every single day we see new ventures coming online, banks have become digital, there are mobile apps, we have online food ordering website, it has become the need of the today’s world to be digitized.
But at the same time, we must not forget that there is again a very tough competition online too. Everyone wants his or her business to be online, there is equal or rather say more stronger competition online for digital business.
Search engines are the major part of digital world be it yahoo, bing, google or any other search engine. Everyone wants to be on the top first pages of search engine.
This problem is quite trouble some for small and medium business, big tycoons are like sharks which eat up small business, the only thing that can help you from being eaten away is digital marketing.
Meet Peeyush Dubey from Onwards Ranking who is a entrepreneur by heart and a real hero in the digital marketing field. Peeyush always had a passion to be a digital marketing expert and helping small and medium enterprises to be a remarkable face in the digital crowd and make them stand out of the competition.
Today we are presenting a wonderful insight of his motivation to start his venture and his journey from a small town in Madhya Pradesh to the North India IT Hub Gurgaon.

2.Who is your target Audience?
People 25 – 50 years of age from English speaking counties who own small and medium businesses with an online presence of looking to build online presence for their biz.
3.Where is your venture based (city, state, country) & What are your target areas?
Started from Bhopal, presently in Gurgaon H.R. with an outsourcing center in Jabalpur M.P.
4.What problems does your venture solve? What are your products or services.
I have helped world’s top firms, fortune 500 companies to top Indian businesses but when I started, I preferred to help small and medium local business to scale up and take their biz to next level.
We help online local businesses to outreach their target audience, making sure they get the maximum share of local leads by using organic search and content marketing.
5.Share the idea or story behind the venture. How did it come to an existence?
Why don’t you help people? asked an 60 year old business owner contacted me on Facebook and whom I helped fix a small SEO issue on his website for free. He later on became my first client and mentor as well.
I made my first million in 3 months and my firm was rated as 7th best SEO Company in India.
6.How did you identify your co-founder?
I never had a co-founder actually, some of my close friends walked with me to scaled up the business.
7.What expansion plans are you looking for the next 2 years, next 5 years?
Most of the consulting business comes from word of mouth; with a very limited focus on consulting I am building some web products that’ll generate gradually increasing income, in other words I am working on couple of long term sustainable business strategies!
8.Where do you want to see yourself in next 5 years?
To grow my team to at least 50 within a self-sustaining business module so that I can get enough time for travelling the world, as well as I would like to make quality digital marketing education FREE so the people in tire 2 cities can take benefit and can move to corporate jobs rather than sticking to a back office jobs, we have started with a plan for the same.
9.Have you raised any funding? Or have any plans for the funding?
The only fund I raised was a 50-pound payment (that was the first money I made from the internet), since then my consulting biz and web products are boot strapped.
We have a new business lined up in 2017 that will compete with BIG US firms, and we may seek funding to market the same.
10.What were the problems you faced during the starting days and how did you resolve them?
I started with 50 pound funds, worked from a non-commercial area, poor Internet and lack of skilled resources. Glad I had some of my good friends joined in and help me scaled up the business quickly.
At the start, all we needed was client’s and I was afraid because I never was a good businessman but I was good with people. We started pitching HONEST SEO to the client’s where there was no false promises in the proposal unlike other companies, with great results for initial SEO projects our client base quickly increase by word of mouth. (Absolutely NO spend on marketing)
11.Are you married, single or in a relationship?
I married in May 2013 with Priyanka.
12.What are your hobbies? What do you do in your non-work time?
In free time I read, I consume a lot of information on Internet that helps me and my skills improve, I play with my 3 months old son and 2 years old pug.
I do take short trips with friends and family whenever I get time for my love of driving and photography.
13.Whats your favourite food & holiday destination?
I love to try new food joints every time, and try the most amazing vegetarian dishes they have.
Being an avid traveller I enjoy exploring new destinations but if you ask for my favorite Leh – Laddkah and Goa are the places I like the most.
14.Whom do you consider your idol or biggest motivator?
From the industry Vivek Bhargava the CEO of DAN Performance Group is the man! His approach towards life and business and ideology is simple yet the most amazing.
15.What do you feel is the major difference between entrepreneurs and those who work for someone else?
I worked as both, what I feel is entrepreneurs are who take risk for their personal and financial freedom.
Entrepreneurs work for financial freedom not financial security.
16.If you had the chance to start your career over again, what would you do differently?
Going to college is something I would avoid, and would have never started with a 9-5 job!
17.How has being an entrepreneur affected your family & Social life?
Early days of an entrepreneur are always challenging to the core, pushing to your limits and I am no different. But now I set my own timings / working hours in 2016 I worked only 4 hours a day yet made it the most profitable year of my life despite of many problems.
18.Anything, you would like to say to our readers or upcoming entrepreneurs?
Find objective, set your goal, and work towards achieving it.
DO IT so that you never regret when you’re 40 that you could have done but you never did.
19.Tell us something about your education & family background.
I am a Bio-Medical Engineer by education, completed most of my schooling in a small town near Jabalpur City. Great to have a loving family who always supported me in my good and bad times!
Additionally I am a Market Motive Certified Digital Marketer !
20.What is your USP which makes it unique & different from other start-ups in similar domains.
I worked with many small and medium businesses and for them their budget is very crucial, we make sure that get maximum results for what they paid for, we educate and help them to optimize their business process.
Making people Happy and solving their problems are the USPs of our business.
