Education Is the way to earn money, but this is not the only way. Isha Bery proved this proverb with her venture Creative Direction

Who says choosing a different career path from your formal education gets you into trouble. There are numerous examples of very famous personalities who completed their formal education in something and today are more successful but in different career path.
Palash Sen a doctor by education but a singer by profession not just palash sen, even our recent film actress Kriti Sanon is a engineer by degree but actress now.
In short, All we can say is that education is the way to earn money but is not the only way. To earn money, be rich, famous and have growth, you don’t need a degree, it is advisable to have education but not mandatory. Most of our billionaires who hires most well educated people from IIM & IIT are all drop-out.
Even in todays start-up culture, people don’t fantasize degrees from IIM & IIT. All you need is passion, idea, logics and risk taking factor to be an entrepreneur.
Today we are presenting one such example of Isha Bery, who is an Interior Designer by education but now a social media marketer by profession.
She is not just a entrepreneur but a proud owner of a digital media marketing company by the name Creative Direction and leads a team of 10+ employees and serves almost more than 50+ globally known brands as her clients.
She has long term vision and plans for her venture and has a steady & fast growth, lets meet Isha Bery and know her journey from being a Interior Designer to Social Media and her venture Creative Direction
 

1.What is the Name of Your Venture? Any specific reason for this name?
Creative Direction

Our tagline is: Imaginative tour to new age marketing.
We are into digital marketing and we believe promoting brands on social media is all about creativity. Hence the name comes from this idea.
 
2.Who is your target Audience/clients?
Social media for business is no longer optional, it’s important for all kind of brands.
3.Where is your venture based (city, state, country) & What are your geographical target areas?
Based in New Delhi.
Target area: India as well as other countries.
4.What problems does your venture resolve? What are your products or services?
We promote brands on Social Media, also adding SMS marketing soon.
5.Share the idea or story behind the venture. How did it came to an existence? What motivated you to start your own venture?
Basically an interior designer by profession. But while I was looking for a job I joined a PR and marketing firm, there I worked with fashion and hospitality clients. Always wanted to start something of my own and had a keen interest in fashion so later after few months started my own work.
6.Who are your biggest competitors and how do you differentiate yourself from them?
With so many digital marketing firms coming up competition has increased, we offer same kind of service but at a very nominal price so that even small brands can build there social media presence with us.
7.How did you identify your co-founder? Tell us some thing about your co-founder/s
I do not have a co-founder as of now.
8.How did you hired your first team members? What skills Do you want in your employees/team?
My first team was hired by me, I always prefer to have a team who are like minded, for any entrepreneur their venture is like their own baby and your first team is not just your employees but a extended family who helps you to grow your venture and take care of it.
9.What expansion plans are you looking for the next 2 years, next 5 years?
Going to add PR, SMS marketing, and planning to hold fashion exhibitions in which various designers can participate.
10.Where do you want to see yourself in next 10 years?
I am looking forward to have a team size of approx 100 with a classy office in USA, UK, Singapore and serving atleast 1000+ high profile brands.
11.What are your goals over the next 1, 3, 6 and 12 months?
I do not make short term goals.
12.Have you raised any funding? Or have any plans for the funding?
No.
13.What were the problems you faced during the starting days and how did you resolve them?
Social media is totally a new concept, it was very hard for people to accept in India but it has a large potential hidden in it. It can take you miles ahead of your present reach with very low investments.
14.What was the most challenging part of your journey till now? How did you overcome those challenges?
It was my selection of social media as career being an interior designer.
15.Are you married, single or in a relationship?
No, I am not married yet.
16.What are your hobbies? What do you do in your non-work time?
I like to read, I like to explore, my favorite website is wikipedia and linkedin. I also Love to cook and bake. Also have a small homemade venture of chocolates, dry cakes, cookies, cupcakes, muffins & drinks… all homemade.
17.Whats your favorite food & holiday destination?
Beaches and hills, peace!
18.Whom do you consider your idol or biggest motivator?
Always wanted to do something related to fashion… from trying to get into NIFT, from set design to interior design… there was always a lot of confusion and hardly anyone to guide whats right.
19.What do you feel is the major difference between entrepreneurs and those who work for someone else?
There’s a very BIG difference between an Entrepreneur and an Employee. In life we make our choices to decide where we want our current actions to lead us to in future.
20.If you had the chance to start your career over again, what would you do differently?
May be direct a movie.
21.How has being an entrepreneur affected your family & Social life?
Not affected.

Do what you like, no matter what others think.. and just wait for that moment in your life when your work will show your success… because someone said it right that nothing worth having comes easy.

24.What is your USP which makes it unique & different from other start-ups in similar domains.
I just do my work dedicatedly with full devotion, for my clients always comes first.

Herd Mentality
26. Do you consider yourself successful and by what means do you measure success?
Success is long way to go, I just started and took the first step.
