1. What is the Name of Your Venture? Any specific reason for this name?
CleanMax Corporation Pvt Ltd.
2. Who is your target Audience/clients?
Corporate, manufacturing unit, Hotel Industry, Hospital, Shopping malls, residential projects and any Govt. Sector.
3. Where is your venture based (city, state, and country) out of and what are your geographical target areas?
It’s based out of Ahmedabad, Gujarat. At present we are covering overall Gujarat and planning to expand across all capital cities within next 3-4 years.
4. What problems does your venture resolve? What are your products or services?
We are into the Facility Management services which includes like office support services, Maintenance of building, housekeeping & cleaning services (Mechanized & Non mechanized). Housekeeping and cleanliness not only makes the organization a safer place to work in but also provides a big boost to the image of the organization. These activities also improve efficiency and productivity of an employer, helps in maintaining good control over the processes, and assist in maintaining the quality of the product.
5.Share the idea or story behind the venture. How did it come to existence? What motivated you to start your own venture?
I was working with the same industry for almost 8 years and was handling sales and marketing. I realized that there is a gap between commitment and deliverables. The same thing we discussed with client and suggested how to resolve the issue but unfortunately I was not the controlling authority for the company and that made me realize that I had an entrepreneurial spark in me. So I started my entrepreneurial journey with a partner. But partnership didn’t work. Without thinking much I started my own.
6.Who are your biggest competitors and how do you differentiate yourself from them?
Competition is a natural and integral part of doing business. Differentiating your business means defining your company in relation to the competition. It means that you understand and are able to communicate your point or points of difference and why you’re better, or different, than your competitors. It means continuously making improvements to sustain a leadership position. If you want to differentiate your business, you need to look at your business from your current and your prospective customers’ perspective. Post that you do a competitive analysis, and determine where your business fits in the mix. Identify and communicate specifically how you meet your customer’s needs in a way that no one else can—in a way that is different or better than the competition.
7.How did you identify your co-founder? Tell us something about your co-founder/s
We have a competent team who is managing different verticals of our organization.
Anjan Das, co-founder: has over 6 years of experience in Human resources. MBA from one of the premier institutions in the country.
8.How did you hire your first few team members? What skills do you want in your employees/team?
Look out for honest people and show commitment to their job and who can take ownership.
9.What expansion plans are you looking for the next 2 years, next 5 years?
Planning to expand all over India within next 5 years.
10.Where do you want to see yourself in next 10 years?
We have a vision which we are focusing on and are working towards to become the leading organization in industry.
12.Have you raised any funding? Or have any plans for the funding?
Have not raised any funding yet. Yes we are actively looking for funding to increase our geographical reach.
13.What were the problems you faced during the starting days and how did you resolve them?
We were facing challenges in finding the right set of people to deliver quality services.
14.What was the most challenging part of your journey till now? How did you overcome those challenges?
Our main challenge was to ensure to provide quality services with right candidate. We have initiated training program for unskilled manpower to overcome the problem.
15.What are your hobbies? What do you do in your free time?
When I get some spare time, I like to read motivational articles, watch movies, etc.
16.Whom do you consider as your idol or biggest motivator?
My Father is my biggest motivator. I have seen him struggle and work hard to achieve his ambitions in life.
17.What do you feel is the major difference between entrepreneurs and those who work for someone else?
Employees tend to seek help when a problem arises at work. Entrepreneurs create the solutions that keeps the organization going.
18.How has being an entrepreneur affected your family & Social life?
Entrepreneur are “married” to their business or I’ll say have a “parent-child” relationship with their business. When you are passionate about something you dedicate all your time to it. To succeed the tough times of business, family, friends support becomes more crucial. I have been very lucky in context of my family life because although I get the occasional guilt speech for missing out on some events or always being in meetings, most of my family gives me great support. In the case of my immediate family, I couldn’t have asked for more support.
19.Anything, you would like to say to our readers or upcoming entrepreneurs?
Being an entrepreneur you should never be happy with your name and fame. You have believe your guts and be bold all the time. Do not get carried away by the success or feel bad about the failure. It is part and parcel of entrepreneurship.

I have done Masters in Business Administration and Masters in Marketing Management.
21.What is your USP which makes it unique & different from other start-ups in similar domains.
The Unique Selling Proposition (USP) is your biggest marketing weapon. Our common points of differentiation include- cost, quality, performance, Training, timely delivery, superior service and customer support.
22. What do you think is the biggest threat to the success of small businesses & Start-ups today?
Challenges are everywhere. And businesses – in general and startups in particular – are no exceptions to myriad of challenges that we face today. One of the biggest challenges that startups face today relates to financial conditions. Small startups rely heavily on financial backups. The competitive environment, unrealistic expectation from customers, hiring suitable candidates also are main challenges for startups.
24. Do you consider yourself successful and by what means do you measure success?
There is no parameter which can gauge if a person is successful. It is us who define a benchmark for success which is sometimes way beyond of what we can achieve. For me, success is to finish a task according to plan and its requirements. So, in conclusion, it is safe to say that we are all successful.
