In a distressing turn of events, reports indicated that the oil tanker involved in the tragic incident was allegedly being driven on the wrong side of the road. The collision occurred near Umri village under Nagina police station limits on a Tuesday afternoon. The collision between the oil tanker and the luxury car, identified as a Rolls-Royce, resulted in a devastating outcome, claiming the lives of two individuals and leaving others injured, including Vikas Malu, a director at Kuber Group.

In a contradictory turn of events, the version presented in the FIR filed on August 22 at the Nagina police station differs from earlier reports. According to the FIR’s account, it was the luxury vehicle, the Rolls-Royce, that approached from behind and collided with the front tire of the oil tanker. As a consequence of this impact, the oil tanker lost its balance and overturned. 

This conflicting narrative highlights the complexities involved in determining the sequence of events in such accidents and underscores the importance of a thorough investigation to ascertain the accurate details of the incident. The differing accounts emphasize the need for a comprehensive and impartial inquiry to establish a clear understanding of the events leading up to this tragic collision on the Delhi-Mumbai-Baroda Expressway.

The industrialist involved in the incident has been identified as Malu. He was one of the three individuals present in the Rolls-Royce luxury car at the time of the collision. According to police reports, the Rolls-Royce was believed to be traveling at an estimated speed of 200 km/h (124 mph) when the collision occurred with the oil tanker. 

The high speed at which the luxury car was reportedly moving adds to the severity of the impact and raises concerns about road safety regulations and responsible driving practices on highways. The local authorities have initiated legal proceedings in the case, registering the incident against the driver of the luxury vehicle. Narender Bijarniya, the Superintendent of Police in Nuh, stated that while the case has been filed, they are yet to determine the specific individual who was driving the luxury car at the time of the accident.

Within this conglomerate, Malu oversees the operations of a diverse array of companies, numbering 12 within the group.

Recently, Vikas Malu took on the role of director at Vardhman International Private Limited, indicating his continued involvement in various business endeavors. The foundation of the Kuber Group can be traced back to 1985, when it was established by Malu’s father, Mul Chand Malu.

Beyond his business ventures, Vikas Malu’s presence extends to social media, where he actively engages with various circles, including celebrities. Captured moments alongside figures such as Salman Khan and Ranveer Singh showcase his interactions with prominent personalities.

However, following the unfortunate incident involving a collision between a luxury car and an oil tanker, Malu’s lawyer, RK Thakur, conveyed that Malu was not in a condition to drive the car at the time. According to Thakur, Malu’s driver, Tasbir, was behind the wheel. Thakur’s statement included the perspective that driving at slow speeds on an expressway might be more perilous. 

He also clarified that there were no specific instructions from Malu to the driver regarding speed. The ongoing investigation aims to ascertain the events leading up to the accident and determine the individuals involved in the incident.

While asserting that the driver’s speed wasn’t instructed by Malu, Thakur also revealed that the industrialist was not seated in the driver’s seat at the time of the collision. Furthermore, Malu’s name had appeared in news earlier when his second wife accused him of involvement in the alleged murder of actor Satish Kaushik, a case that has garnered public attention.
