Sana Hazari- The Social Corporate

Today the customers expect every organization to deliver products and services swiftly, with seamless user experience. They want to pay electricity bills online, buy a phone from Amazon and get bank loans issued in minutes. They expect all service providers to have automated access to all the data they provided earlier and not to ask the same questions over and over again.

But the traditional organizations aren’t able to meet these expectations and look for low-cost models that can help them scale up operations to provide products and services combined with advanced algorithms and full access to information.

Due to this, the business dynamics have brought in a lot of requirements for Digitalization. All businesses, especially startups and SMEs, need to closely handle the revenue streams and strategies to generate new business prospects.

To create additional revenue streams, reducing operating costs and driving efficiency through diversification and differentiation, Sana Hazari founded ‘The Social Corporate’ (TSC) – an Impact Advisory Group working closely with social organizations, Impact / Venture Capital Funds, Startups and Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

With over 7 years of work experience, Sana is an ex-investment banker from BMR Advisors (now merged with KPMG India). She is a Bachelor’s in Economics from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University and has also pursued professional certifications from the Wharton Business School, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), CFA Institute, University of California-Davis.

Her ventures aim to bring social organizations and corporations to the forefront of digitalization. The Group specializes in the field of digital transformation, product strategy, development of sustainable business models, creating additional revenue streams, strategic consulting and fundraising advisory services.

“While at BMR, I yearned to drive social change and create an impact on a larger scale. At this time, I tried looking for flexible social work opportunities. For example, an opportunity near my house or office or an opportunity where I can give pro-bono advisory using my existing skill-set, but I didn’t find any platform that gave me such options. This is what led to the start of the Social-Tech platform – The Social Corporate – an artificial intelligence (AI) enabled platform that connects NGOs and Volunteers, who may be looking to contribute through exciting and flexible volunteering opportunities globally.”

The platform currently connects more than 125 NGOs across India and Africa with volunteers globally, which is a wonderful contribution to our society.

The Group has closely worked with diverse set of clients including Edupreneur Village Fund (Ed-Tech focused Venture Capital Fund), Sri Aurobindo Society (Global NGO, aimed at creating the next future), Scholr (AI driven Homework helping Ed-Tech app), Rolls Royce New Delhi, Vivafit India (Portugal based women-only gym chain, across 11 countries), AG Design (Exclusive designer handcrafted products), TimeShutterz (leading Wedding and Lifestyle photographers), and many more.

One such project executed by the Company was the strategic advisory and digital transformation of the Zero Investment Innovations for Education Initiatives (ZIIEI) initiative by Sri Aurobindo Society and HDFC Bank Parivartan. As on date, the ZIIEI platform has successfully on-boarded more than 18 lakh teachers across India and has received over 11 lakh innovative ideas, which are being implemented across 26 states of India.

The Group aims to be a one-stop solution for all social enterprises and empower them to improve on aspects of product-innovation, marketing, and operations, thereby leading to impactful value creation at a mass scale globally.

Sana’s advice to aspiring impact entrepreneurs is “The world is becoming increasingly complex every day. Instead of generating new or iterative ideas, try finding creative and innovative solutions to tackle the existing global problems. Also, adaptability is essential for survival. If the prototype of your product or service doesn’t work out, don’t give up; learn from the mistakes and alter your offering for product-market fit.”

For their constructive contribution, the TSC Group has been felicitated and awarded by different associations and corporate groups over the years. To name a few, Ms. Sana Hazari was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation and was felicitated by Dr. Satbir Bedi, IAS, Chairperson of the National Council of Teacher Education of India (NCTE) in 2019, for her contribution to the ZIIEI project for Sri Aurobindo Society. She also received a Certificate of Appreciation by the Head of Sales & Marketing of Rolls Royce New Delhi, for outstanding performance and lasting contribution towards Digital Strategy.

Sana is also a speaker at the Impact Entrepreneurship Masterclass at FMS Delhi (Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University) hosted by Global Governance Initiative (to be held on March 14, 2020) and was a speaker at the Social Responsibility Conclave – INNOVISION ‘20 of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College, Delhi University (hosted on March 5, 2020).

With its unremitting work and positive attitude, The Social Corporate aspires to become a premier Impact Advisory Group assisting organizations in evolving economies to combat worldwide corporate issues.
