A team of Egyptian students has designed a vehicle that according to them will battle increasing prices of energy and will promote clean energy by running only on Air.
The students were from Helwan University which is close to Cairo, the undergraduate students rolled out a prototype one-person vehicle which runs on compressed oxygen.
According to the students the vehicle can hit 40kmph and can last 30km before it needs refueling, and the cost of the Vehicle is only $1008 to build.
Mahmoud Yasser, a fellow student who helped to design it said, the operational cost of the vehicle will be almost nothing because people will basically use compressed air. You don’t have to pay for fuel and do not need cooling.
To expand the project and produce vehicles in masses, the team is now looking to raise fund. And they also believe that the vehicle can go to 100 Km and run for 100 km before needing to come up for air.
