Esri India Launches ‘Innovation Hub’ in Noida to Bring Innovations in GIS, Big Data & IoT
Esri India, country’s leading Geographic Information System (GIS) Software & Solutions provider established an ‘Innovation Hub’ in Noida. The Innovation Hub brings together various GIS capabilities under a single roof with innovative solutions for Smart Cities, Disaster Management, State GIS, Utilities, Homeland Security, Location Intelligence, and Analytics amongst others.
The Innovation Hub is set up to bring in synergies among research, development and advanced technologies such as sensor monitoring, and emerging technologies like Big Data, and IoT. The hub also enables Esri India to work closely with its customers and better understand their requirements to develop and deliver effective solutions for their businesses.
Commenting on the announcement, Agendra Kumar, President, Esri India said, “The Innovation Hub will act as a catalyst for building smart communities by enabling our clients to tap into the potential of GIS effectively. It fosters co-creation, training and collaboration amongst our employees, clients and partners thus helping to drive innovation which could address real-world scenarios”.
The hub is equipped to provide an infrastructure of open data gateway along with Esri Managed Cloud Services (EMCS) division for its customers to access and use the localized content. It also works with more than 50 startups and partners, providing technical mentorship to them.
In December 2017, Esri India had announced GeoInnovation – a challenge for ‘startupreneurs’, in partnership with Department of Science and Technology (DST), to provide the startups with a platform to show case their GIS based business ideas and build a strong network with industry experts, investors and peer group.
